One of a kind
When Jaclyn contacted me about photographing their engagement and wedding she had me hooked at…” We race sailboats together and would love to get some photos on the boat”. UMMMM YESSSSSSS. I was so excited about this sailboat engagement session because it was so different than anything I’ve photographed before!
We started fairly early so we had the best chance of avoiding the harsh light coming off the Lake and more and more morning time is becoming my favorite time to photograph.
A big difference from typical engagement session where all the extra people required to actually steer the boat while we took photos! Jaclyn’s sister Megan (From 10th Floor Treasures) and I went to school together since elementary school so it was super sweet to catch up with Jaclyn and her mom <3
Everything was going wonderfully and then about 40 minutes in as I’m looking through the viewfinder in my camera I started to get that feeling I was going to be sick. After I thought we got everything I wanted to on the water I sat down and we started to head back in. Jaclyn was SO kind about the whole thing and after 5 minutes or so, and some of her mom’s famous cookies, I was back in business!
We ended the session at Headlands beach, another first for me and I LOVE it! The sand dunes are so pretty and have all the tall grass my heart desires. And of course the lake, it was a perfect end to the session!
