Perfect August Wedding
This perfect August Wedding could not have got any better!! The weather was a mile 73’ish degrees, cloudy on and off and truly just a perfect day for a wedding! As soon as I pulled into the Ecology center I got so excited! There where just spot after spot after spot for beautiful portraits, it was so hard not to run around to all of them during the bridal portrait time. We picked a handful that the light was best in and created some gorgeous portraits!
Lizz and her bridesmaids looked stunning in their dresses. Some of my favorite images from the day are of the girls, the color looks amazing on everyone! I also love how all of the dresses where similar but different, it adds a great element to photos. R.J. and the groomsmen looked so handsome in their vests and bowties. It was a perfect look to match the venue and the rustic but elegant feel that Lizz had planned for.
This was my first wedding in an old barn, and man oh man it was awesome! It’s always fun and sometimes a challenge to shoot in different places and the Crown Point Ecology Center was no exception. While I love all of the old wood elements and Edison light bulbs it gave me a run for money as how to light it, but I am proud to say I think the photos turned out amazing!
Old Carolina BBQ catered the wedding and it was AMAZING! While the pulled pork and mashed potatoes were my favorite everything was good! And to top it all off Lizz and R.J. served doughnuts FROM BIAGIO’S in lieu of cake. If you’ve never had a Biagio doughnut I suggest you try one, tomorrow!
Lizz and R.J., it was such a pleasure to capture your wedding day. I hope you’re enjoying your honeymoon and the hurricane isn’t putting a damper on your plans!
