Graham | Two Months |

Where does the time go

Graham is TWO MONTHS OLD! I tried all day to get to my computer to write Graham’s two-month blog, and just as I thought he was asleep or settled he would pop awake and need some cuddles or want to eat again. I’d be lying if I said this month was his best one yet. It has been a challenge but rewarding in so many ways. For the better part of this month up until today even, he wants to eat every hour and a half to two hours, which can be so monotonous and it seems just as you get a break to take shower or throw a load of laundry in by the time you get to that task- because you inevitably do a 100 little things along the way to that next task- it is time to feed again. But when I get this way or start feeling like all I am is a meal ticket he shoots me a sweet little smile and I quickly remember the amazingness that I get to do.

Things to remember

This month was also full of so many new things. He smiles back at us and when Jake gets homes from work Graham will smile at him when he sees him. My favorite is in the morning when I unswaddle him and he does a huge stretch and then smiles up at me like he’s saying “mornin’ mom!” He also has started to sleep for a little longer stretch through the night. Although he’s only slept 7.5 hours once he has had some longer 4-5 hour stretches which makes all the difference for me! And as of this week, he will roll from his stomach to his back, although he likes to do it when I’m not looking and won’t repeat it if I put him back.

Breastfeeding is going so well and he gains anywhere between 7-10 ounces a week! This week he weighs 11 # 11 oz. He gained 2 pounds this month! We go next week for his 2-month check-up and first set up vaccines :(, although I am looking forward to seeing how tall he is. He was in 0-3 month clothes for about a week and is now wearing 3 month clothes!

Graham loves to be kept busy and isn’t a fan of day time naps. He tends to cat nap for about 30-40 minutes and then up and at it again. He is starting to enjoy his swing more and loves all the bright lights and colors.

We got to go on our first outdoor walk, trip to the mall, and many Target runs to get out of the house. This past month has flown by and I am going to try and slow down and soak in these last few weeks home with him.
